These "Location Information Stations" were designed as part of a science investigation into earth system interaction. (NGSS 5-ESS2-1)
Students created slide decks—published and linked QR code style—about two interactions they discovered at our district-owned environmental site. These codes were then varnished into the ends of small posts, which were left near the site of the system interaction. Hikers could discover them, scan the code, and learn about their surroundings from the 5th grade scientists.
