The 5th graders choose "Founding Folks" (i.e. people involved in starting the United States - this content is required by Wisconsin Learning Standards) NBA draft style, with a clock countdown and much drama in the picks. They research the biography of the person, determining a suitable scene from their life. They write a screenplay and film the scene using iPads.
