Cinderella the Musical by Rodgers & Hammerstein was produced at the Historic Mabel Tainter theater in Menomonie Wisconsin in Spring 2024. I was asked to design projection for a few key scenes to add some digital stagecraft. I drew all the assets on iPad with Apple Pencil using Procreate: a moon, pumpkins, a clock and a castle. I also animated some sparkles to go with a title to display pre-show and at intermission. The pumpkin, clock and castle were animated. For this show, a scrim was positioned onstage concealing the pit orchestra behind. This dark scrim was a unique material for projection, as it darkened the images and was much larger than some displays. These designs must function on command, help tell the story, and fit the overall feel of the scene.
